October 23, 2022I had a stop overnight here on my way to a meeting and really enjoyed my stay. Warm relaxed welcome from the site manager who gave me a tour,… read more told me where the nearest Tesco’s was and how to walk into town. Generous pitches and a great location. I ordered a bacon buttie and coffee for breakfast (really good text system) which was lovely and good value. Plenty of wildlife to see and a very friendly campsite cat! Will definitely be back.

The roads around March are busy with Farm traffic and Haulage vehicles which on a bike can be a challenge The town has some excellent Pubs and eating houses, with all the large stores to spend your money at. I might return in the summer months when the place is buzzing but open all year peace and quiet then this is the Place

With electric hook up & a big firepit included. The toilet/shower blocks are inside, making them warm. Clean & I didn't queue for anything once. They have canoe hire & a river/canal at the end of the site, which all vistors have access too. We took a canoe into March, had a few pints, lunch, paddled back, absolute bliss. This will keep me coming back. Wasn't anywhere near as strenuous as I thought it would be & was absolutley idlyic on the water. Our toddler spotted all manner of birds, animals, insects, fish & we even stopped to pick some fat balckberries too. We had a cracking breakfast on Sunday morning, for a bargain price, they even offered a plantbased/vegan breakfast too. It was hearty & delicious. Our toddler had a wonderful time, running free all weekend. She loved picking berries & flowers from the hedge rows, stealing tomatoes from the gardens (sorry!) & chasing Jaffa the cat round. The canal/river is gated off, so kids can't accidentally wander off & the main road is also gated, so they can't wander into the road. Absolutely beautiful place, we stayed in the apartment , so spacious and spotlessly clean, everything you need is provided. The site itself couldn’t be better, campers, motor homes, caravans ideal… read more for family stays as well as others, we recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed .
September 2, 2022This is the fourth time we’ve visited Fourwinds campsite but the first time with the new owners. They were so kind, welcoming and helpful – even jump started my car… read more for me when I’d drained the battery! The campsite is very spacious, peaceful and well maintained and each pitch has a fire pit. You can access the river at the back easily via a coded gate and the pretty town of March is about a 40 minute sail/walk away. We took our own canoe and paddle boards but you can hire canoes from reception, tie them up at March and go and explore. There are two toilets, two shower cubicles and a washing up area which are all kept clean – an idyllic place to make fantastic memories. More
August 21, 2022Fantastic 3 night camping stay with my 3 children!! Debs and Hannah are amazing hosts and I’m already booked to come back with my eldest for a birthday treat later… read more this year to try out a Shepherds Hut!!
Would definitely recommend taking out the canoes, so much fun! The kids loved it (and me too!!)
I also took the kids to Skylark (a garden centre nearby) which was a great day out with lots to do.
The campsite pitches are spacious and toilets/showers clean! Great little shop onsite for snacks and very close to Tesco and KFC.
The kids also loved Jaffa, the campsite’s cat!!
A lovely stay and would highly recommend!!

We loved our stay here. The location here is perfect…direct access to the river. Great place for launching our own paddleboard and kayak. We had such fun paddling into March which is about a mile away. Staff are so friendly…I will definitely be returning.
Thanks Michelle, we look forward to seeing you guys again 🙂
We have been here several times already this year, The site Owners are really friendly and the wardens are really lovely and always about to help or assist with any problems. The site is perfectly quiet and peaceful even when it’s really busy it’s still quiet. The showers and toilets are clean and nice if you chose not to use your own facilities. There are kayaks and canoes available to rent!! As the river is at the top of the site. There is also Archery and Air rifle shooting glasses. Something for everyone. And to top it off John cooks a Mean Full English breakfast for those hungry campers. Not to come here would be a shame. It’s a slice of Bliss
Stayed on the campsite for a week from 6th September. Had a wonderful time, the pitches are of good size plus there is a large rally field leading down to the river. It’s a 25 minute walk to March and within easy driving distance of Wisbech and Ely. All the local carparks are free which is a bonus.
The owners are very helpful and they have a very friendly cat called Jaffa who likes to check all new arrivals out! I would definitely stay here again.
Hi Barry, so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, and thank you very much for your kind words. We (and Jaffa!) look forward to seeing you again soon!
Just stayed with motorhome for the weekend. An absolute gem of a site. Facilities spotless, and the staff & owner fantastic, shown around the site & then shown to our pitch. We will be back, & would thoroughly recommend. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality.
Our first visit to this site which was recommended to us. Stayed 4 nights at the end of a touring holiday in our motorhome. Site quiet, pitches well spaced out, friendly welcome and facilities well organised and managed under Covid restrictions. Lovely walk into March alongside river Nene. Hoping to visit again soon.
A simple brilliant site set in open countryside backing on to the Old Nene River and including a section of river bank. Plenty of room for all ages and interests. Canoeing/boating available on the river as well as fishing. Lots of lovely walks, including into the Fenland Market town of March. A very well-managed site by a team of resident warden, who are friendly and helpful. We thoroughly recommend this set to everyone who loves camping & caravanning.
We had a lovely couple of days at Four Winds despite the weather, among some sunny spells at night the wind and rain was relentless, however on the last night of our stay it was very cold and wet and the proprietors of the site offered us a lovely shepherds hut for the night ,which was luxury and kept us warm & snug all night with TV thrown in.
We had a brilliant 3 days here on the late May BH weekend. Fantastic hosts and excellent facilities. We were so pleased as the booking had to be moved twice, and Bev was so helpful throughout. Definitely recommend and will go back!
Spent two nights on this secluded, peaceful site with large pitches. On arrival we were given a warm welcome by Deborah as she showed us the excellent facilities. As the site is next to a river kayaking, canoeing and fishing are available. One can also hire two shepherds huts, a delightful cabin and B and B rooms. We enjoyed the unique experience of a campsite offering tasty cooked breakfasts made and served by the site owners Deborah and Hannah. Open night skies, no light pollution and wildlife—little owls, kingfishers and other water birds were natural attractions seen by us. March can easily be reached via a riverside walk or a canoe trip for those who require shops and pubs. We enjoyed our short stay and will return.
Stayed over 1st and 2nd of July 2022 as I was doing a skydive nearby.
The shepherd’s hut I stayed in was so cozy and comfortable. Everything you needed was in that hut. I purchased the full English breakfast on both mornings, excellent.
The owners are friendly and helpful, the whole site was immaculate.
Will be going back soon.
Another fantastic weekend at Fourwinds, my 25 visit and and what a place for family get together super hosts super site and first time in cabin. Looking forward to the next 25 then I will get a gold watch for long service
Regards
Mick& Jane
Hi Mick and Jane, really glad you enjoyed your stay. Not sure about the gold watch but sure we could rustle up one of our breakfasts for you 🙂
We chose this place for our annual camping trip and were not disappointed, Myself, Son Andrew and Grandsons Charlie & Ollie had a lovely time. The pitches are large and well spaced out. the service from all the staff was second to none, We hired 2 Kayaks for a couple of hours, very reasonably priced. We also took advantage of the cooked breakfasts, just remember to order before 8pm the previous night. The only negative was there wasn’t any play park for the Kids to go to, We did try our best with Football, Badminton, board games etc. The kids are just not interested unless there is a 5 inch screen attached. Overall a very good clean site which we will visit again.
Thank you.
