Canoe Hire in Cambridgeshire

NEW 4-seater Pedalo for summer 2023!!!!!!

canoe hire in Cambridgeshire at Fourwinds LeisureCanoe hire in Cambridgeshire for 2 hour, half day or full day periods! There are 26 miles of calm easy waters to enjoy on the Old River Nene, making hiring a canoe in Cambridgeshire great for a gentle few hours paddling.

Our Mackinaw Canadian style canoes give you a lovely way to experience the Cambridgeshire Fen’s waterways.  They are easy to steer for two people and as long as you can swim, have good mobility and are up for some gentle exercise, hiring a canoe in Cambridgeshire on the Old River Nene is a lovely way to spend a few hours.  Bring a pack lunch, cold drinks, sun cream and a camera.  Paddle into the town of March, share a chat with other river users or stop for a picnic or fish.  You will be supplied with buoyancy aides, paddles and instruction on how to use them safely and off you go!   Why not make a weekend of it and come and camp or stay in one of our shepherds hut

We’ve also introduced a 4-seater family Pedalo to the Four Winds fleet for summer 2023! It has a launching pad with room for an ice box, hamper or picnic (not currently provided with hire) – or perfect for jumping into the water from or to just relax and catch some rays! There’s a ladder on the back so you can safely climb back onboard and life jackets supplied (doggie life jackets not available). Guaranteed hours of fun on the river!

Please note that canoes and pedalo are available on a pre booking basis only, so call us to arrange (01354 658 737).  Available from beginning of April to end of October.

Mazzif Fisha single sit on

kayak hire in Cambridgeshire at Fourwinds LeisureWe also have 2 Mazzif Fisha single sit on kayaks for those that want to explore on their own.  Great fun in the water – £20 for 2 hours, 35 for 4 and £65 for 8 hours.

Sit on kayaks are great for the novice (as long as you can swim of course!).  Unlike traditional kayaks, if you fall off a Sit On, you just fall into the water – so easy to swim free, rather than you having to have the confidence and experience required to ensure you can release yourself safely from a traditional style kayak should you roll over – so no eskimo rolls required

4 Seater Family Pedalo

We’ve also introduced a 4-seater family Pedalo to the Four Winds fleet for summer 2023! It has a launching pad with room for an ice box, hamper or picnic (not currently provided with hire) – or perfect for jumping into the water from or to just relax and catch some rays!

This is ideal for families where a canoe or kayak might not suitable – especially if you’ve got little ones with little legs as the grown ups can do the pedalling whilst the children can safely sit onboard or enjoy leaping into the water. There’s a ladder on the back so you can safely climb back onboard and life jackets supplied (doggie life jackets not available).

Guaranteed hours of fun on the river!

There are the usual terms and conditions you would expect to find in an activity like this, so take a few minutes to check them out.

We ask you to:

  • Follow instructions at all times, especially social distancing requirements.
  • Bring your own hand sanitiser (and other PPE if you want to of course)
  • Acknowledge agreement to our terms by replying to our email before arrival.
  • Be confidently mobile as we have had to adapt how we hold the boat to get you on and off.
  • Our mooring is fairly low so stepping in is generally easy and we are still able to steady the canoe for you.
