A paddle on the Old River Nene with a picnic lunch – 4 hours – 2 to 3 people – £55.00
Includes a gift card & information sheet, useful ‘dry bag’ gift, 4 hour paddle in open Canadian canoe for up to 3 people (min 2 people and terms apply), picnic lunch, buoyancy aids and tuition
Guests will be sent off on our Canadian open canoes (after basic tuition and with buoyancy aids!) down the Old River Nene, with a sumptuous picnic to enjoy along route. Amongst other birds, they will get the opportunity to spot kingfishers, swans, little egrets, moor hens, crested grebes and herons. If lucky they may spot an otter or water vole. A wonderful peaceful experience suitable for those with good mobility, an interest in the countryside, wildlife and good food! Archery taster session 1.5 to 2.5 hours, per person – £20.00
Includes gift card and information sheet, archery themed key ring, 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hour archery session at Fourwinds with a coach (dependent on numbers, min age 12 years, terms apply), light refreshment
Guests will learn how to safely hold, aim and shoot a recurve bow and enjoy some competition scoring time on both 3d animal targets and paper face targets. Participants will be provided with a choice of dates to book onto the session and will contact Fourwinds to book on.
Taster sessions start at 11am and for Spring/Summer 2017 are: 9th April, 28th May, 11th June, 9th July, 23rd July, 13th August, 27th August, 10th September (dates may be subject to change due to weather)
Archery Beginners Course – 1 day – inc. lunch – £97.50 pp
Including gift card and information sheet, lunch and refreshments, bow stringer gift, archery tuition within a small group (adults and children over 14 – terms apply)
Participants will learn about the different bows and equipment that can be used, how to string, maintain and use a recurve bow and arrows safely, understand what is required in terms of etiquette within a club setting, shooting techniques and practice on 3d targets and paper faces. John is an English Field Archery (EFFA) instructor and has had previous experience as a GNAS coaching assistant at local club level. His tuition is often recognised by archery clubs as evidence that a suitable beginners course has been completed, which can help new members to join without initial club coaching. Participants will be provided with a choice of dates to book onto the course and will contact Fourwinds to book on.

Make your own Dreamcatcher workshop – £20.00 per person
Including a gift card, information sheet, dream catcher key ring, light refreshments, all materials and tuition.
Participants will learn to make their own personal dreamcatcher in a relaxed informative environment with John, while listening to the tale of the dream catcher and other Native American cultural stories from the past and the present. All materials and light refreshments are included. Suitable for adults and accompanied children over 10 years of age. Participants are welcome to bring their own feathers or use ours. Depending on the group size the workshop will last approximately 2 hours. Participants will be advised available dates with their booking information. Terms apply

Digital camera techniques and skills with our professional photographer
David Millward is a professional photographer with more that 40 years experience who currently specialises in landscape and wildlife photography with particular emphasis on macro. He has produced images for books and magazines as well as commercial slide presentations, product photography and has sold his work through various galleries. You have a choice of three courses from a 2 hour taster course to 2 full day workshops each of which are stand alone or can be combined to advance your technique even further. More advanced specialised tuition is also available on request. The courses are available for DSLR, CSC, Mirrorless and Bridge cameras. Please state make and model of camera when booking. Please make sure your camera batteries are fully charged and you have plenty of space on your memory card.
Digital camera taster session – 2 hours – £25.00 per person
Aimed at those new to digital photography. You will learn how to steer your way from full auto mode which enables you to access your creativity. Subjects include, aperture priority, depth of field and exposure value (EV). Practice shoot and Q & A.

Basic workshop (1)* – 1 day – £60.00 per person
We recommend this workshop as a prelude to any other tuition. David will give you the necessary skills and confidence to take control of your camera to get away from the auto setting. Subjects covered, camera settings, aperture priority, shutter priority and programmable auto, effects of ISO, avoid camera shake, blurred backgrounds, tips on composition and exposure values (EV). Practice shoot and Q & A. Light lunch and refreshments also included.

Boost your Skills Workshop (2)* – 1 day – £60.00 per person
In this workshop David will help you to perfect your skills and become more creative. Subjects covered include more camera settings, manual mode, Raw Vs jpg, using your built in flash, how to cope with low light and other difficult conditions, backlit subjects, lenses and converters, water and moving subjects, image stabilisation/VR, manual focus when and how. Practice shoot and Q & A. Light lunch and refreshments also included.

Coloured Pencil Art with our professional artist
Everyone has used coloured pencils in school but they are now being used as a fine art medium or used in the large range of colouring books now available. A lesson from Jo can help you by advising on materials and showing you new techniques to get the best from your coloured pencils. What could be more relaxing than spending a few hours colouring? Jo Goudie has been working with coloured pencil for over 15 years and has exhibited in London and in the National Exhibition of Wildlife art as well as providing workshops and lessons for the Derwent Pencil Museum in Keswick.
