Great beaches to visit during your stay at Fourwinds

It only takes about an hour to visit some of the UK’s best beaches from Fourwinds, these are our favourites;

Holkham – Just over an hour’s drive away, offering miles and miles of unspoilt beautiful beach.  We often take a drive out on a Sunday morning for a brisk walk with our dog (even in winter).  There is a carpark and a pretty wooded area before you get to the beach and if you are feeling energetic you can walk all the way to Wells Next the Sea. Check out the recommended beach walks.

Hunstanton (known to East Anglians as Sunny Hunny) …. about a 55 minute drive from here.  Old Hunstanton beach is much less commercialised then its neighbour – the main Hunstanton resort. The resort offers a prom, arcades, icecreams, eateries and a little train while Old Hunny Beach has dunes, golden sands and never feels that busy, giving you lots of room to enjoy your surroundings.  There is a carpark and toilets nearby and reasonable wheelchair access to Old Hunstanton Beach.

Wells Beach – just down the road from Holkham, Wells Beach has a large carpark and cafe and shops and from there a short walk (including steps) down to the beach, which is wide and golden.  I have spotted seals sunbathing here and its a wonderful bird watching beach.  Wells Beach is well known for its cute beach huts which are painted in beautiful summery colours – very cheery.  Wells town is a lovely coastal town with lots of independent shops and places to eat.

Its also worth checking out Over Strand and of course Cromer.
