Camp Fires
At our discretion we may allow a small campfire by a camping unit. This will depend on weather conditions and the suitability of available pitches so that any fires do not disturb others. We also have a central fire pit area for use once weather conditions allow. Please ask permission from the campsite owners. Campfires must be either above the ground in a suitable metal container or a sod of earth maybe removed and the fire maybe put on the ground. Before vacating the cold ashes should be spread, debris removed and the sod of turf replaced. In all cases safety and security are of the highest requirement and campfires must not be lit within 6 metres of any camping unit and must not be left unattended at any time. In addition a bucket of water or sand (supplied by the camper) must be kept by the lit fire at all times. The fire must be fully extinguished before left unattended. Fire marshals will be on duty. Failure to comply will may result in the campers being asked to leave the site with no refund. Please remember we have a campsite rule of quiet time after 10.00pm and this may apply in relation to social gatherings at campfires too.

We are enthusiastic about recycling and ask campers to help us achieve consistent standards by disposing of their rubbish in the correct bins provided. Please note that plastic bags and containers other than plastic bottles are not accepted as recycling in this area and go into the landfill black bin in a tied rubbish bag.
